So after my first trail option was unexpectedly closed for winter (not listed anywhere), I decided to try this one. First, it is not marked anywhere. There are no signs or markers to guide you, and most of the time it's a one lane dirt track that's rotted, muddy, and definitely don't try unless you have higher clearance vehicles.
That said, I never did find the trails. I drove all over the roads (I use the term loosely), but other than small cleared areas that looked like people had built fire pits and shot off guns (lots of empty shell casings) I saw no trails. Got to the end of what appear6to be the main road, and it just dead ended with barbed wire and shot up fence posts. The "lake" was not impressive to me as I saw it when I first drove in. I have been on many other trails here in WA, and I would not spend time with this one again unless they at least mark where the trails start.

I was up there about a week ago. Keep driving up that dirt you were on about 3 miles to the irrigation tunnel. Park there since the road gets bad beyond. Walk up the road and it climbs out of the coulee in about a half mile or so. From there you just wander around. I went east and then south to a pothole lake I saw on Google earth. Lots of old roads and tracks all over. More of a cross country ramble than a trail hike.
