Trip Report

Nute's Pond Park — Friday, Feb. 21, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Located on Toe Jam Hill Rd.

This is a newish 33-acre park is on the east slope of Toe Jam Hill on the south lobe of Bainbridge Island. A loop trail winds through the forest touching the park's centerpiece, 11-acre Nute's Pond, on two occasions. The rest of the walk is through typical PNW maritime lowland greenery.

There are several benches to sit and enjoy the serenity of this quiet spot on the island.

The loop is about 1.5 miles with minimal gain so is a good hike to introduce the smallest of children to the wonders of nature.

Parking is limited to one space but there is a gated road across the street that may accommodate one or two more vehicles in a pinch without blocking the gate.
