Tolt-MacDonald Park — Friday, May. 22, 2020

My first time here. I can say this trail is perfect for social distancing after work on a Friday. I bet it gets busier on the weekend. 
The big leaf maples mostly protected us from the rain. Very lush and green with some bleeding hearts still blooming and salmon berry looking juicy. 
There is signage about a mother bear with cubs. We made plenty of noise and never saw them. After a walk in the woods we made our way to a picnic shelter in a meadow by the river. Lots of birds singing, woodpeckers pecking and an owl hooting. 
I didn’t take many pictures because the rain was really coming down. I’ll be back with my camera for some birding when it’s not so wet.
