Goat Creek Loop, Vanson Peak — Friday, Jun. 5, 2020

South Cascades > Mount St. Helens
Trees blocking path at 1.5miles

Parked at Goat Creek Trail #205 on road 2750.  Easy to find and road suitable for all vehicles.

The start of the trail is a little muddy, and there are some small water crossings.  I recommend wearing boots if you don't want to get your feet wet!  The waterfall near 0.75 miles in is quite lovely!

There is a junction and the trail splits after 1.5miles.  I could not navigate more than 400m in either direction.  To the right is an uphill that I could not navigate because there are too many trees/blow downs.  To the left is a stream, which I found impossible to cross.

Welcome back! Great Report, and the pictures are SO BIG! Out of my jurisdiction as far as getting the trail cleaned up, someone will see this and take the necessary action. I think this receives official yearly maintenance.

Quite a variety in the short list of Trip Reports you have written/hiked, where will you go next? See you on the trail!
