Kaleetan Peak — Monday, Jul. 13, 2020

Awesome hike close to Seattle. From the summit we recognized Rainier, Adams, Glacier, Hinman, Stuart, Si, and more. The Denny Creek parking lot was closed but there was plenty of road parking and it only added a 1/4 walk. The trail up to Melakwa was great as usual. From Melakwa, the climbers trail was steep but easy to follow. The only challenge was after the trail dipped beneath the ridge to the left. There was ~100 yards of snow, some of it in very steep sections, that was difficult to navigate but it was short enough that it wasn’t an issue.
