Kaleetan Peak — Monday, Jul. 13, 2020

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
The trail after it dips below the ridge.

Awesome hike close to Seattle. We counted 12 lakes visible from the peak, and could see Rainier, Adams, Glacier, Stuart, Hinman, Si, and more.

The Denny Creek parking lot is closed but there is plenty of parking on the side of the road and only an extra 1/4 mile walk. Trail up to Melakwa is great. From there, the climbers trail to Kaleetan is steep but pretty easy to follow. There’s 100-200 yards of snow on the trail when it leaves the ridge to the left, some of it on very steep sections. It was difficult to navigate and we had to move slowly, but it was short enough that it wasn’t an issue.
