We started off of FR7222 and the hike was 6.14 M with 1400 elevation gain. Not a lot of people on the trail. It was partly cloudy which kept the sun from beating on us. Still clear enough with a 360 view and Mt. Rainier being the star of the show. The huckleberries were sweet and plentiful. Each time I take my dog on this trail, she somehow tears her pads on her feet, so she's taking it easy today. It is a rocky trail, but I just don't know what she's tearing them on. We stopped at George Lake on the way back to the car and waded in the deserted beautiful lake. A few bugs, but really not that bad.
