I took my 4 year old daughter hoping to do a kid friendly hike to a lake.
While this was a gorgeous* trail though the forest, it was a little too much of a climb for us. We got maybe a 1.5 miles up before my daughter said that she was tired. The trail itself was in good shape and was fun to navigate the roots and steps, but its a lot of uphill with few spots to stop and rest.
For someone a little older than 4, or a little bit better shape than myself (I'm feeling the elevation gain a lot more than when I was doing 9 mile hikes regularly 8 years ago!) I'm sure this is a great one.
*The forest really was beautiful along the trail! I can't say it enough.
