Trip Report

Briggs Lake, Lime Kiln State Park — Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands > San Juan Islands

First time to Briggs Lake.  The trail is more of a grassy service road.  Lots of mushrooms. Not a lot of people. We were hoping to see one of the little red foxes we’ve seen in the summer but no such luck. We did see 5 bald eagles on this short hike.

Lime Kiln State Park was beautiful. Not many visitors when it’s 40 degrees out. One of my favorite spots for sunset.

We got back to Bothell and couldn’t believe it when a fox ran in front of the car! Lucky day!
