Trip Report

Heybrook Ridge — Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

Arrived at the parking lot around 12:45 and it was pretty full. No forest road to get to the trailhead, which is great. This is the second time I've tried to do this hike - previously I put "Heybrook Ridge Trailhead" into google maps and it took me to Barclay Lake.. Not sure if this was an issue on my end or not but made sure to follow the directions given by WTA here instead.

This hike was perfect for the sunny day and Saturday laziness I was feeling. According to the trail sign, it's 1.6 miles one way, and my watch agreed with that. I loved the trail markers every half mile! I wish more hikes had those!

The top has a beautiful view of the mountains, although they are slightly ruined by the electrical lines. No loud buzzing though, like they have at Wallace Falls!

Almost everyone we passed was wearing masks - thank you!

OK glad I wasn't the only one whose GPS took them to Barclay lake. Whats up with that? Good to know I have to follow the WTA directions instead. Great pics!
