Trip Report

Fletcher Canyon — Tuesday, Mar. 16, 2021

Olympic Peninsula > Pacific Coast

Road: Road was in really good condition to the TH (two larger potholes in the last 100 meters to the trailhead as your turn off the main FS RD, but if you have high clearance, you should be fine). If you're in low clearance, you can just pull off at the pullout right on the main road.

Trail: Trail was very rocky, rooty, and wet in places. The obvious trees down across the trail, but all of them are easy to walk over/around or obvious notches have been made into the logs for easy climbing over. Still, given the wetness and side slope angles on this trail, take care so you don't slip and fall.

O boy was it green out there! The ferns and moss were really popping on trail today. No signs of flowers blooming yet, but the brilliant greens of the understory made up for it.

I didn't quite reach the end of the trail due to time constraints, but the few miles I did were still really beautiful.
