After Baldy, we headed up this short steep trail to round out the day. It was very windy, but the sun felt nice. Ours was the only car in the parking area in the afternoon, but a few more showed up. Apparently the trail goes along the ridge for another mile or so, but we will have to come back another day to explore further. Not a wilderness experience, but still pretty!

Ngie and I were there yesterday too! We actually started in the morning and went to the end of the trail. It terminates in this weird spring in a giant old tire. Kind of interesting. We also found a whole elk skeleton out there, which was pretty rad.

I've been waiting for ngie to fill out that report :) Cool info, thanks, will definitely have to check it out some day. I'm sure few venture much beyond the summit.

Haha all those incomplete trip reports Ngie starts while ON THE TRAIL. We camped in the canyon last night and did more hiking today so we’ve been out of reception and they couldn’t finish their reports 😂
Btw, I’m jealous of the rainbow you saw at Baldy! We got caught in that snow on Selah Butte but no rainbow from that angle.. I was looking 😭

Nice wildlife shots/composition!

Yeah... for the record (Birb and kidzwonthike already know this), I'm trying to be a good "hikizen" and fill out some details just in case other folks want to venture out that way or decide on going hiking somewhere :D (my incomplete reports weren't as helpful this weekend because of the camping bit and the small phone keyboard :P..).
