There is no snow on Sourdough Ridge. From Frozen Lake to 2nd Burroughs there are 2 easy snow crossings, very few people will need traction on these (see the end of the video). There are 2 snow fields coming down from Frozen Lake to Sunrise, with poles they are easily manageable especially with poles.
The flowers above and at the top of Berkeley Park are quite good, lupine, alpine asters, magenta paintbrush, heather, cut-leaf cinquefoil, cliff paintbrush, dwarf mountain lupine, and some Rainier lousewort. In middle Berkeley Park the early flowers are fading and the valerian and magenta paintbrush is coming in. There are a few elephant's head lousewort blooming, with lots more to come. The pretty pink bog laurel is blooming at the bottom.
The alpine flowers are in bloom heading up to Burroughs: many kinds of saxifrage, dwarf mountain lupine, cliff paintbrush, Davidson's penstemon, golden alpine daisies, elegant Jacob's ladder, and a few Drummond's anemones and moss campions are still blooming on 1st Burroughs.
