Climbed Ragged Edge on Vesper 7/17. The trail up was good, didn't hit consistent, unavoidable snow until after Headlee pass and crossing Vesper Creek. The snow was quite soft, we never put on our microspikes but poles/ice axe were nice to have. If just doing the normal scramble route to the summit, poles are probably fine (there were a few sections of steep snow with bad runout getting to the start of the climb). We saw probably 5-7 parties on the trail and 2 other parties climbing. Plenty of water on the route to fill up if needed. There are great cairns across the talus field and the trail is nice and easy to follow the whole time. All stream crossings were trivial except one about 15 min after the TH. We went upstream a bit and crossed on stable logs but saw others go straight across on slippery rocks.
Remember to be careful and aware of those around you when going up/down Headlee Pass! There are many large, loose rocks that could injure those below you if kicked down. Take your time, go slowly, give other parties lots of space, and let others know if you do kick down rocks. Given the rockfall hazard, this is probably not a good trail to bring dogs up. If you have a helmet, I would suggest wearing it in the gully.
