Hope and Mig Lakes — Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021

Enjoyed the trail up to Hope Lake on Sunday. It's in good shape and is easy to follow. Reaching the lakes was less enjoyable as the mosquitos were relentless. A couple of people were camped at Hope Lake. We found one open spot, but it was pretty buggy so we headed to Mig Lake. A few more people camped there. Found what seemed to be a nice spot, but we're chased away by more mosquitos the moment we stopped. Ended up setting up at a spot set back from Mig Lake, but honestly it was just as bad! Will have to try this trip out again once the bugs have gone. They definitely were a mood killer!

Notes:
-Road to trailhead has one big pothole at the start, but is mostly clear from there. We were greeted with plenty of parking.
-Saw a sign for a toilet at Mig Lake. Thought I'd share bc it can be nice to know in advance!
