White Chuck Bench — Wednesday, Sep. 1, 2021

Hiked 4 miles out, had to turn around only because of timing/lack of food.  You can easily make it past the "official" 2.5 miles stated in the hiking guide.  Also in those 4 miles it never got 'down to the river", hiking guide needs to be updated.  You hike above it until the switch back, but then its not in sight. I did 4 or 5 creek crossings pass the bridge, all very doable in hiking boots, might get a little wet in sneakers. Trail past bridge a little overgrown in places, pants were nice to keep foliage off legs, but never had to push through, I could see trail the whole time.  I would love to come back and do see if the trail is passable all the way to crystal creek.
