Trip Report

Millersylvania State Park — Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022

Olympic Peninsula > Olympia

Spent my 69th birthday enjoying this beautiful forest trail!  I've included 4min of video highlights below..

Trail & Road: VERY FLOODED in places.  I could not access the 2 small wetlands loop because of 6-8in of water on trail.  Only 3mi of the more inner loops were accessible, which still made for a great hike.  Even the park's entrance road was so flooded that they have you enter via the exit lane.  The boat launch beach access was cordoned off, also flooded.  But the trailhead near the outdoor kicthen was fine.  About half the picnic tables near the swimming beach are sitting in water.

Wildlife: saw a huge eagle and quite a few smaller birds

I did not see anyone else on the trail.

Did you find this trip report helpful?
