I haven't been to Tenerrife Falls for a few years now and today I did it again as part of an "easier" training hike.
It was raining and it was not as easy as I had hoped. π
The trail is definitely do-able but the main takeaway is toΒ really pay attention to the switchbacks. At least twice I literally breezed right past a switchback because there are parts where the trail can technically continue; the first is (maybe a new trail?) being formed and a hundred feet or so later a sign told me "this is not a trail". Further up the Talus there's spots where you could actually more or less climb up and skip the actual trail, but wouldn't recommend doing that.
With the rain, much of the trail in the higher parts was flooded with water and I imagine anytime it's raining the trail is in this condition. Be very careful since you're navigating slippery rocks with running water on them.
The falls themselves were as beautiful as I remembered and well worth the effort to reach.
