We arrived on a weekday afternoon at the North Parking lot (which is gravel) and it only had a few cars. The whole trip we only saw a few people, which was nice. The trail is marked at every junction with a map, which was a big help. The weather was warm and sunny and the trail was in great condition, with only a few muddy spots, which were slippery. There was only slight elevation gain, which is ideal if that is what you are looking for.
