Vesper Peak — Saturday, Jun. 22, 2024

Third water crossing was a bit sketch, were able to keep our feet dry, poles were nice to have. Snow starts at the gulley headed up to Headlee Pass then clear after the pass until just before the lake outlet, then snow to the summit. Attempted to climb Ragged Edge, the traverse is snow covered. Doable if you are comfortable with steep snow travel…recommend pickets to protect the traverse as a fall could be fatal. We turned around half way through the traverse since we didn’t have pickets, there were minimal trees we could sling. Rock route looked clear though. Bring bug spray!
