This was my first time here. We did an overnight with 2 adults and 3 pre-teen/teens. The hike was surprisingly “easy” and the scenery was top notch. Definitely hop off the trail at the 3rd switchback and scramble down to the waterfall on your way in or out.
On Friday morning (7/19) our group was eating breakfast in camp and witnessed a large (~24” diameter) tree fall across the trail near the top of the lake outlet waterfall. There was no wind nor warning. It just fell. It was a good reminder to pay attention to your surroundings in the forest at all times.
