Got to the TH around 5:45am with less than 10 cars in the lot, presumably all camping at the lake. We chose to take the Lower Elliot trail on the way in and didn’t see a soul until we reached the lake. Definitely bring bug spray as they got pretty bad half way in. Stopped by the falls just before the lake to take some pictures. Hung out by the lake for about an hour before heading back. At the trail split we look the Upper Elliot back to the lot. Snacked on tons of plump red huckleberries and the native blackberries were just coming in. Longest hike we’ve done and what a relief to get back to the car.

Goat Lake is within federally designate WILDERNESS - the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness. Drones are prohibited. Enjoy the hike but leave the motorized contraptions at home.
