Burroughs Mountain, Sunrise Rim Trail — Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024

Got to Sunrise at 0930 and had no trouble finding parking. We took the Sunrise Rim trail, which is usually less traveled. Only saw about a dozen hikers on our way to the 1st and 2nd Brroughs. There was some snow on the trail, but it didn't cause any issues. On the way down and up to the 3rd Burroughs, my wife felt more comfortable with spikes, so we put them on. Trail is easy to see and navigate.
Made it to the top, and what a view. The weather was fantastic. On our way down, we saw a had of goats near Skyscraper Mtn trail. Long day with over 10 miles but worth it. Opportunity to hike from Sunrise is coming to an end soon. Don't miss out.
