Did not hike these, but wanted to give everyone a heads up that as of today the Sunrise Road (from White River campgrounds to Sunrise) is closed. It's that time of year again. More road closings to follow soon - link below to the MORA road conditions website.

While the website says that Sunrise road is closed, the last update on it was several weeks ago. When you call the info line it says that Sunrise is still open... Are you just going by the website, or did you actually see it closed?

I'm going by MORA's road status website, which was last updated 10/8/2024 (as of today) according to the "last updated" information at the top of the website. When I checked on 10/7 it said the Sunrise Road was scheduled to close on 10/14. When I checked on 10/8 (yes, I do stalk the road status website this time of year) it had been updated to say that Sunrise Road was closed for the season.
