Started on the trail at noon with about 6 cars at the trailhead - leaving plenty of room. It took us about 1:50 to the falls where we had a nice rest before walking back. Plenty of mushrooms to see, a few fellow hikers. Driving out we reached 101 in time to see the full moon rising over the hood canal - fantastic. I was surprised by the lack of wildlife - we heard a few birds and saw nothing: maybe the cold or time of day. The ground was a little frosty by the time we reached the falls; its getting cold up there
