Snow on the road up to the lookout was packed down and frozen. Microspikes were super helpful. I wasn’t able to get the heater on. Could have been user error, but the propane tank could also be empty, because I never heard or smelled gas coming in while trying to get the pilot light on. Plenty of paper towels/wipes/toilet paper, and both the lookout and privy were clean and in great shape. There is also a shovel and plenty of salt for the stairs. The sky was totally clear for my visit, and the stars were gorgeous. Cold but beautiful night.

Did you by chance see a black hat that said “campfire crew” and pair of prescription sunglasses? Inside the lookout.

I didn’t notice them, but there was a small pile of what looked like left behind items. I didn’t look very closely at what all was there.
