Arrived at the trail and parked with the "Sno Park Permit" which was $53 at REI. We hiked into the bottom for for about 10+ minutes. The route in is a slight incline for about one mile. The path down to the falls is extremely icy. Be careful near the bottom of the falls especially as the temperatures begin to warm later in the day, the ice on the falls occasionally shed ice and it can come down without any notice. Falling ice can be extremely dangerous. IMO traction is required to walk down to the falls.
