Cispus Braille Trail — Friday, Apr. 4, 2025

Before I headed home from Cispus, I wanted to see the Braille Trail I have read a lot about over the years. Covel Creek was such a delight, I wanted to see if this one held up.

I liked the Braille Trail fine, though I was surprised there wasn't more Braille signage along the way. The only Braille is on the sign at the beginning of the trail, and no interpretive signage in Braille. I know signage is expensive and hard to maintain but it would really enhance the trail to add Braille interpretive signs. That's what I would expect from a trail with this name.

That being said, the trail was very peaceful and quite flat, but I preferred the Covel Falls trail. One really nice thing about it was that there's a lovely seating area near the river with a beautiful view of the forest and the sound in this area is really peaceful and gorgeous.
