Beautiful trail that’s always on our spring hiking list. The trail is mostly dry with a few small creek crossings—perfect for pups, and ours had a blast. There’s a nice view about half a mile in of some North Cascades peaks, but after that, it’s all peaceful forest. Spring is alive out there, with trillium blooming all along the trail.
WTA lists this as a 5-mile hike, but we logged 7. The trail goes much deeper into the wilderness than listed on WTA.
