Fantastic hike! We loved seeing the waterfalls as we hiked up the valley, the photos don’t do them justice. Perry Creek Falls is a great destination. We decided to continue past the falls to see if we could make it up to the meadows. Snow covered the trail continuously around 4400 feet. No trail visible at that point so navigation skills are needed. We kept going to about 4800 feet but the snow conditions were becoming tricky for us (steep, hard snow in isolated areas. Most snow was soft-ish) and we had reached our turn around time. I would have kept going if I had an ice axe, traction, and a little more time. We saw a few more groups go up after us so hopefully someone made it to the viewpoint! On our way down we saw a garter snake attempting to eat a frog.
