Glacier Basin Loop — Wednesday, May. 28, 2025

Attempted to get to the Emmons Glacier Overlook but the bridge to cross to the moraine is currently out (see image). Glacier Basin is still snow covered but hikeable ~ would recommend gaiters and microspikes as it is slushy and posthole-y past the  overlook spur. Drier and hotter than usual so definitely bring water and sun protection as well ~ there were a lot of mosquitoes and flies, but also several species of butterflies in places. No ticks yet.
