Wow what an amazing hike!! Perfect day. Saw about 5 people on the trail. At the moment, crampons/microspikes are needed along with poles. Saw a couple hikers with ice axes and helmets but not needed unless you wanna be extra safe.

The elevation is no joke, genuinely think at some points it was 40 degrees uphill. The trail starts off relatively easy and then after the rock scramble over the pass it gets harder and harder. Had a very good pace until we hit the rock scramble and then after that the straight vertical incline of snow. Clocked around 7 miles, 4000 feet elevation.
