We did a day hike up to Dip Top Gap and then climbed up to Dip Top Peak. The trail is in great shape until Marmot Lake. Once you reach Marmot Lake the trail becomes narrow with many down trees. It's really hard to follow the right trail to Jade Lake but just be prepared for scree and a climbing over a few boulders. Going around Jade Lake is fairly straight forward until you reach a junction with one trail going up and another dropping steeply to the shoreline. Take the trail that descends to the rocky shoreline and then do you best to follow cairns to the bottom of the snowfield. The snowfield was in good condition but within a week or two it will become icy, and crampons will be very helpful. At Dip Top Gap head right up some rock slabs and eventually you will find a faint trail which goes part way up Dip Top Peak. It's mostly class 2/3 but at the very top there is a narrow 25ft section with huge drop-offs on both sides. Took us 13 hours or so roundtrip. The mosquitos were annoying but not bad with the exception of Jade Lake.
