Trip Report

Boulder Lake — Friday, Sep. 19, 2025

North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway

Road: the road is actually better than last year despite not having any official work on it. The mudslide that was a mile or so before the trailhead has been *mostly* cleared and packed down. The road is rough, narrow, and few pullouts for the latter half after the bridge.
Also is a good description of the trail as well, ha. Muddy in places, overgrown in others, trees and rough tread through the burned area, a boulder field, and a not easily seen trail that requires, at times, some navigation skills.
Nice hike, lots of fish jumping, and some last of the season blueberries.
