Snowking Mountain — Saturday, Sep. 27, 2025

Some careful driving with an Outback got me to the trailhead just fine, and some wet but light shwacking got to the steep trailhead. Quite an effort to get to the alpine but worth it for the miles of ripe blueberries and mountain views. Many campsites around the lakes along with several around 6200' on the ridgeline up Snowking, although you'd have to scramble down to some little pools in the granite for water there so those would be better earlier when there is snowmelt.
