This is a great hike near Seattle! Good elevation gain and interesting features along the way. Only gripe is every dog we came upon (and there were several) was off-leash and we had to ask every owner to leash their dog so we could pass with ours. Please keep your dogs on leash - it’s a park rule!

keeping dogs on a leash is really important. I had a dog off leash a lot in the past, and I didn't think much of it. She was friendly, though avoided most people. However, my son has a dog that will react on every third dog. He can go really quickly. It isn't a problem if all dogs are on a leash. if not, it can be really bad. We hike with him and young kids a lot. It's really not fair to put other people in that position. Please leash your dog.
