The falls may be a bit underwhelming, but the hike is nice. It varies between old FS road to true footpath. We went on a soggy day so there were plenty of small mud puddles that were easy to navigate. Waterproof shoes (don't need to be boots) would be a good idea if it's been wet. There are cut logs at the falls to make for a nice picnic spot. I recommend using a trail app or taking a picture of the map at the trailhead, since there are plenty of options at frequent intersections.
