I needed a short hike near the city because it gets dark so fast this time of the year. I had hiked the Black River Riparian Forest with my cousin awhile back, but I was intrigued by some of the other branches of the trail I had seen while driving by recently so I stopped by and explored.
I started at the Waterworks Gardens and noticed the Springbrook Trail sign across the street and followed it under a bridge. I looped around and ended up in the same place haha... but continued on a different fork of the trail this time until I ended up at the Boeing plant. Was really disappointed to see how polluted some of these areas were (see photos), even though I had heard about this from some Boeing employees.
I went through some corporate driveways and ended up at a nice lake which I walked around. I saw some employees getting off work, and I guessed they worked for Boeing... almost felt like a little mini Boeing park I was in. As it was getting dark (and very rainy), I headed back to my car just in time.
