Rainier Woods Park — Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025

ok, i parked in the parking lot by the restrooms, got out and looked around. i saw a dog park, basketball court, playground, and a ball field along with the restrooms. looked like a standard neighborhood park to me. i did not really see any trail access so i reread the park description on the wta website. it did say that the trail was maintained by a wta crew so there must be a trail somewhere. i drove around and found a trailhead on forest green blvd, so yay!

the dirt trail is actually between the dog park and neighborhood homes. the trail is a nice trail to walk, of course the only problem was it was very short, maybe 1/8 of a mile at best. the other end of the trail actually came out right by the basketball court, so i could have gone in from the parking lot.

overall not really a place to be listed on wta other than the fact that a wta work party maintains the trail, and i really am grateful for all the work that they do. but 1/8 of a mile trail is so much better than none at all. since wildwood park was nearby i went there after this to get more outdoor nourishment.
