Road report: I tried to make it to this trail on Saturday, and I got stuck in the snow ~1.5 miles from the trailhead.
With the kindness from several strangers in two trucks and one ATV who happened upon me, we got chains on my front wheels (4x4 with AT tires), used their traction boards, and got me back on the road.
With the chains, there was a chance of getting to the trailhead, but I was put off enough by getting stuck that I turned around and headed for Mount Walker as a consolation prize.
