New Year’s Day was a “fee free” day, so we expected the trail to be busy and the parking lot had many vehicles when we arrived at 9am. It’s a very large lot, and no concerns about finding a parking spot. Mother pit toilet was clean and stocked.
we took the loop counter clockwise, taking a break at the falls to take advantage of the picnic table. We met a number or runners, mountain bikers, and at the falls was a large group just leaving as we arrived.
the trail is in good shape, with a few muddy spots and several larger trees that have come down across the trail. We were able to easily navigate these obstacles.
