Mount Rainier Area > NE - Sunrise/White River
Another perfect day in the park. Arrived around 4:40 AM almost got to the top of burrough's for sunrise. Great climb first thing in the morning, racing up as fast as i could to try and get both pink on mountain and sun rise. As soon as we go around the corner the goats greeted us! Then after they moved on we spotted another herd, and then a third one, they were everywhere. Tons of babies, we figure we saw about 60+ one with a big collar around it's neck. Must have been the Male. We crusied down the glacier basin trail for some different views then back up to more goats. It was hard to get much movement when there's so many animals to watch. Not many flowers blooming in the area yet. We went back down backside to shadow lake and decided to walk the road back up as my foot was bugging me. 3 backpackers ahead of us stopped and i knew, it was a bear! YES!!! He was amazing to watch, eating his flowers not another care in the world. Awesome hike, one i will always remember.
