First, I should clarify the driving directions. There are two entrances to SE Tiger Mountain Road. Bypass the first (around 4 miles past the city) and go to the 2nd entrance, just after the Christmas Tree Farm, about 6 miles beyond Issaquah. Too bad the directions are copyrighted and can't be changed. Also, there were no signs saying a Discover Pass is required, so I think that is erroneous.
There were a few muddy spots but nothing too serious. Hiking poles recommended for some steep slants and water crossings. We crossed the little creek and continued up to the Power Line Trail, turned left, and made a loop of about 6 miles total and 1100' elevation gain. It was well worth climbing up that extra piece to see the views!
