Went to Paul Peak trail today, lots of nasty fog on the way there on route 410. All the fog was gone on top of the Bonney Lake hill. The Mowich road was slippery and very cratered on the way up. Once you arrived at the ridge top though the road was pretty good and easy to the trail head, I had no snow issues at all.
The Trail itself was in pretty good shape, it is well maintained and an amazing old growth romp. There are some trees down after crossing the creek (see picture) but again when you come to the more south facing parts of the trail, all the snow and ice is gone. Gorgeous day! Beautiful views at the switchbacks leading down to the Mowich River. Never saw a soul, best part of getting out on trails at this time of year!
