What a great trail! I was a bit thrown off at first that was was labeled as "hard" but decided to try it out anyway. The trail is very well made, well marked, and easy to follow. Although I never once thought of it as being "hard" I did have to stop more than usual to rest my lungs and burning legs ... so maybe it was more difficult than it seemed! I was hiking with two dogs who enjoyed themselves immensely, and it was nice knowing that we wouldn't run into horses or be run over my mountain bikes.
We only went halfway up, to Grand Prospect before turning around to head back down. Before that point, I had only seen one other person on the trail, but by the time I was heading down (around 11am), the masses were making their way up. I will be trying this trail again in the future, but will make a point to get there even earlier as I could tell the crowds could potentially be overwhelming later in the day.
