We wanted to stay closer to home during the weekend but still get our hiking going. This ended up being a perfect trip - literally 10 minutes from home, beautiful & easy (though busy) trail. Parking was problematic as the parking lot is very small, but the adjacent streets have plenty of spots, though a few are prohibited to park in. At the end there is a gorgeous beach with mountain views as a reward! There are signs at the trail head from Snohomish County indicating the tunnel to the beach is closed, but it seemed clear and everyone still went through it anyway? Very confusing. Overall it was a great short trip, and we will be coming back later in the summer for a swim!
