Upper Lena Lake — Saturday, Jul. 9, 2016

Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal
i didn't take many pics but these are the mountains just before the lake
well it was difficult but really beautiful I just don't recommend going on a day when it's dumping rain like we did, my friends cheap tents couldn't handle it so we ended up heading back down the steep 7 miles soaking wet and getting to the bottom right as it got dark. the first part of the trail to lower lena is pretty easy we did it in an hour but we were moving kind of quick so it could take longer depending on how much you stop. when the trail cuts off to the upper lake it stays pretty easy for about a mile but after the first stream crossing it gets steeper and more difficult but also extremely beautiful, granted its beautiful the whole time. it was a pretty difficult hike but well worth it even though it was rainy and gray the whole time, i could only imagine how good it would be on a nice day
