PARKING When we arrived at 5am, we were the only car in the lot. Lot was full by 10am, about 15 cars. Si Parking Lot down the road was PACKED--beautiful day to get outside, not surprised by the floods of people. TRAIL A couple weeks ago I did this hike with Chuck, but we (he) had to break trail past the falls, and we didn't make it to the true summit. Today there was a very clear and defined path all the way to the summit--so nice! Microspikes were needed. The first mile is pretty slick, and coming down from the summit to the falls was as well. TIMELINE 5am--left the TH 6:05am--reached the Falls 7:35am--reached the summit [sunrise: 7:52am] 8:10am--begin descent 9:15am--back at the Falls 10:10am--back at the car *ran part of the trail
