Wahkeena-Multnomah Falls Loop — Friday, Aug. 5, 2016

Although usually really packed, Multnomah Falls is my favorite. Instead of getting annoyed by the initial crowds, I remained grateful for all the people who still marvel at the beauty of the falls. As I headed back farther up the mountain the crowds lessened, and the peacefulness of the forest and the Larch Mountain springs could be enjoyed. I climbed up Wahkeena Falls and then back down Multnomah Falls this trip, but either way it's up hill the first half and downhill the second half and will take you in the loop back to the start. It's a good hike with friends, dogs, or visitors, or kids.
