Pine and Cedar Lakes — Saturday, May. 20, 2017

Trail was in great condition and was well marked. As people have mentioned before there was some uphill at the beginning. My 8 and 9 yr old kids were able to do it without complaining. Spent the night at Cedar Lake. There are two overnight spots at Cedar and two overnight spots at Pine. Both Pine locations were occupied. If you plan on an overnight I would recommend getting up there as early as possible. The bugs were not too bothersome. I spent most of the evening in a hammock watching the fish jump while the kids played. There were a few other groups of hikers on the trail on our way in and on our way out. The parking lot was almost at capacity.
